These Unreal Engine 5 environments were created as part of my solo final year project at Bournemouth University.

A primary aim was to push the graphical fidelity of these environments, through many techniques including:

  • Photogrammetric Assets

  • UE5 Nanite

  • Tessellation and Displacement

  • UE5 Lumen and Hardware Raytracing

  • Vertex Painting

  • Runtime Virtual Textures

  • Procedural Generation Graphs

The creation of these environments greatly improved my expertise in UE5, across a range of elements, such as blueprinting, optimisation, lighting, and a variety of core UE5 features. I also refined my process of research, paper planning, digital layouts, blocking out, and fleshing out game levels.
